Intelligenia is glad to announce the successful negotiation and kick-off of the project “CAMALIOT – Application of Machine Learning Technology for GNSS IoT Data Fusion”, funded by the European Space Agency (ESA).
The main objective of the CAMALIOT project is to exploit the wealthy amount of data from IoT GNSS devices and improve/extent some GNSS Science applications (in part provided by the “GNSS Science Support Centre – GSSC”, located at ESA-ESAC, yet currently using traditional GNSS data sources, e.g. the International GNSS Service). To achieve this ambitious target, the Industrial Consortium will design, implement, validate and deploy a Big-Data based Infrastructure hosting Data fusion and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to acquire, process and exploit GNSS IoT data, gathered via smartphone Android apps.
The Industrial Consortium is composed by RINA Consulting-Centro Sviluppo Materiali S.p.A., Politecnico di Milano (with the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology and the Department of Electronics Information and Bioengineering), Intelligentia S.r.l. and Geomatics Research & Development S.r.l.
Intelligentia will be responsible of the GNSS IoT Big-Data infrastructure implementation, the integration of the Data Fusion/Machine Learning algorithms, the implementation of a specific Android App, and the validation campaign execution.
We are honoured to continue to work for ESA, and pleased about our customers’ trust in our technical and managerial capabilities. This project will allow us to strengthen our skills in the GNSS domain and foster the continuous technology transfer from Industry into Space, which is one of our most relevant company assets.
We wish you #moreIntelligentiaInYourWorld
